Greg Norman Did Nothing Wrong
The internet has been going crazy lately over rumors that Greg Norman is partnering with Saudi Arabian business people who want to start a new “LIV” Golf league.
As usual, THE MOB IS WRONG here is why
Reason 1 the Mob is Wrong: Morality
If you are opposed to doing business with Saudi Arabia for “moral” or “ethical” reasons, then why are you stopping with Golf? The USA government and many Billions and Trillions of dollars worth of deals go between the USA and Saudi Arabia, so why is it that you’re only concerned with the “Golf” part of the economy?
Reason 2 the Mob is Wrong: Humanity
Golf is a game, not a business. Golf existed long before the “PGA” and it will continue to live long after the “PGA” is gone. Criminals and Prisoners should be allowed to play Golf. It would be indecent and inhumane to deny them access to the sport just as it would be indecent to deny all prisoners from playing soccer.
It doesn’t matter how bad you believe someone is, you don’t take golf away from someone just like you wouldn’t deny a prisoner from reading books.
I for one, embrace how the game of golf is evolving and spreading. Exciting new Tour Players like Bryson DeChambeau apply new engineering approaches to golf such as found in “The Golfing Machine: Geometric Golf, The computer age approach to golfing perfection”, and Legends like Phil Mickelson who wants to keep playing with his preferred 48" driver, and frankly if that’s how Phil wants to play golf, that’s how I want to see Phil play golf.
